Aluva, 4 January 2024: Dearest confreres, the Seminary Meet (Formative Encounter Programme for all those in Formation) for the year 2024 is held solemnly at Rogate Ashram from 3 to 4, January 2024. The Meet was named ESPERANZA, which means in Spanish Hope or Trust. In the afternoon of 3rd January, Fr Lijo Kalarickal, Vice Superior of Rogate Ashram and Prefect of Philosophy students, welcomed all, in the absence of the superior, Fr Rector Fr Aneesh Kannampuzha, to the gathering. Then the meet was inaugurated by the Major Superior, Fr Shajan Pazhayil after lighting the lamp by him, Fr Robin and three representatives of brothers from, Theology, Philosophy and Minor seminary. Then Fr Robin, the Councillor in charge of Formation wished all the best to ESPERANZA 2K24. Immediately after the inauguration the gathering was blessed with the august presence and presentation of Rev. Fr Bastian Pozholiparamabil, Trichur Diocese. Fr Bastian pinpointed the need of being Holy and Obedient to the Lord and to the Superiors in order to guide ourselves and lead others to heaven with the special call to the Priesthood. The rest of the day was well organized with games, prayers and other cheering activities of cultural programmes and ice breaking sessions. The next day started with prayers and meditation. After the breakfast the quiz competition was held followed by the intervention of the Major Superior, the Primary Responsible of the Formation. After the meeting of Fr Shajan, the Holy Eucharist was celebrated as Fr Shajan being the main Celebrant and Frs Vinu, Vineesh, Lijo Kalarickal and Robin as concelebrants. Dn Amal also assisted during the Mass. Fr Vinu made the homily and Fr Robin thanked each and every one who paid their full energy to make the event a successful one. 

As the name indicated the event filled in everyone’s heart a thought that each one is a HOPE of the Lord and of the congregation and thus all are all the more OBLIGED to safeguard THIS HOPE-TRUSTING in the LORD.
