31/10/2023: The Rogationist Priests’ Family Gathering namely FAMILIA ROGATE, was held in the Malabar zone (Kasargod, Kannur, Kozhikode and Wayanad) on the 30th of October 2023 at Mananthavady Rogate Bhavan Minor Seminary from 10.30 am to 5 pm. The function began with the Holy Eucharist presided over by Fr Shajan. Fr Vinish Naduvilpeedika, the superior of Rogate Bhavan, welcomed everyone and Fr Fijo Melit delivered the Homily. Frs Shaju, Robin, Nikhil and Lijo Arackalan were concelebrants. After the Holy Mass all had their lunch and then by 1.45 pm all gathered at the social hall where the gathering was officially inaugurated by lighting the lamp and with the message of Fr Shajan. Fr Francis Nellikkunnel the vicar of the parish felicitated the gathering. After the inauguration, Fr Robin introduced the families of our priests, the present scenario of the congregation and especially about our Quasi Province. All who have gathered introduced themselves. They said it was an opportunity to see again each other and renew the bonds between them and the Quasi province. During the meeting, Fr Robin invited the families to help the Church with vocation Promotion in the way possible from their part and also to join in the Rogaitonist Family Prayer Union. The gathering ended at 3.15 and then the brothers staged their beautiful cultural programmes for the parents and families gathered. After the cultural programme, parents also witnessed the grand opening of the Rogate Sports Fest wherein Fr Shajan inaugurated the Fest. Mr Augustine, the father of Frs James and Deepu, thanked us for this wonderful event and he underlined the hospitality of Rogationist Congregation which is very peculiar to us, and which differentiates us from other congregations. Fr Robin officially thanked everyone for their presence and participation and all who have joined their hands together for this memorable event. Then the Tea was served and at their departure, each one was given a packet of sweets as a token of love and appreciation from our Part.
