Aluva, 29/08/2024: In the celebration held at Aluva Rogate Ashram, the subdeacons, Shone Perukunnel and Mathew Manalel received the Holy Order of Diaconate through the holy laying of the hands of Most Rev John Vadakel, the bishop emeritus of Bijnor Diocese, on 29/08/2024 at 10.30 am. Fr Aneesh Kannampuzha, the Rector of Rogate Ashram welcomed the bishop and the gathering to the celebrations. Then invoking the presence of the Lord who is light of the World, the Bishop and the celebrants along with the brothers and their parents’ representatives (mothers of two candidates) lighted the brass lamp and begun the celebration Fr Shajan Pazhayil was the Archdeacon and Fr Aneesh Kannampuzha concelebrated with the bishop and the Archdeacon on the altar. There were priests and sisters from various communities and from the parishes of the brothers who were ordained deacons. Fr Robin served as the MC and Fr Lijo Kalarickal was the Commentator. The celebration of conferring the order was followed by a felicitation to the new deacons at Rogate Ashram auditorium where they cut the cake and Fr Varghese, the vicar provincial and well-wishers congratulated the new deacons. special congratulations go to the Rogate Ashram Rector and the team along with the brothers and seminarians for such a wonderful preparation and decoration for the entire celebration.
