18/11/2023, Angamaly: STQP was very pleased to welcome Fr Eugene, the general councilor in charge of Mission and Charity, to India. Fr Eugene reached the Cochin International Airport at 2.15 am and he was fetched to the Provincial House. Fr Shajan and Fr Shaju welcomed him to the Provincial house during the lunch. in the evening at 7, Fr Eugene presided over the Holy Mass and thereafter Rev Fathers of STQP Provincial Team gathered together at QP house and gave him the official welcome. Fr Varghese Panickasserry, the councilor in charge of mission and charity of STQP, after a few words of appreciation and welcomed to Fr Eugene, handed over to him the bouquet and Fr Shajan received him by adorning the Ponnada (a silky garment used in India to honor). As Fr Robin, the councilor in charge of Formation and the community member of QP house, celebrated his birthday yesterday, he was invited to cut the cake together with Fr Eugene and in the presence of councilors and other fathers; Fr Vito Lipari, Fr Joseph Mailaparambil, Fr Saji Kallookkaran and Mr. Jeeno. After that the dinner was served and thereafter all departed.

Fr Eugene will have his presence in India till December 2 and then he will move to Sri Lanka and from there to Italy. Fr Varghese has arranged all his activities and visits in coordination with the concerned fathers of STQP. Hearty Welcome to Fr Eugene.
