On September 18, at 7.00 we traveled by bus to take us to the Vatican, where around 9.40 we were welcomed in a special audience by Pope Francis, in the Consistory room. Together with us, members of the General Government and the Governments of the Circumscriptions, n. 48, there were also n. 32 Daughters of Divine Zeal, equally representatives of the General Government and their Circumscriptions, and also present were representatives of the Rogationist Missionaries, with their Superior, n. 3, and representatives of the Rogationist Associations, n. 13. The Holy Father addressed us a dense message, and immediately afterwards received a personal greeting from each of those present. Finally, he posed with all of us for a general photo.

In the afternoon, in the great hall, after the recitation of the Middle Hour, there was the presentation of the Conference by Father General, with the theme Together in the Name of the Lord . He introduced the meeting, recalling that in this six-year period we are moving towards the 100th anniversary of the blessed passing of the Founding Father (2027), and pointed out that in the General Council, in agreement with the Council of the Daughters of Divine Zeal, it was deemed it necessary to celebrate and prepare for this event, and opened his speech by inviting the assembly to recite together a prayer prepared specifically for this anniversary.

After the intervention of Father General, according to the program, it was the turn of the Superiors of the Circumscriptions, who, one after the other, were called to present the reality of their own Circumscription, in a fairly synthetic way – also because in this regard we focused on it in the previous Conference held in March – highlighting in particular the problems and challenges that they are called upon to face. Until 6.30 pm it was possible to listen to the interventions of the Superior of the Sant’Annibale Province, Fr. Antonio Leuci, of the Superior of the Sant’Antonio Province, Fr. Eros Borile, of the Superior of the San Luca Province, Fr. Geraldo Tadeu Furtado , and of the Superior of the Province of San Matteo, Fr. Orville Cajigal.

On 17th September, after arrivals in the afternoon at the Fraterna Domus Center in Sacrofano (Rome), at 7.00 pm there was the celebration of Vespers. After dinner, there was a meeting in the main hall to agree on the various organizational aspects.

Immediately afterwards, in the large church of the Centre, there was the celebration of Vespers and then the Holy Mass at the beginning of the Conference, presided over by Father General, Fr. Bruno Rampazzo.
