It was one of the most memorable days in the history of the Rogationist St. Thomas Quasi Province most especially for the Rogationist Center of Studies Aluva, as seven theology students were raised to the order of Acolyte by His Excellency Rt. Rev. Dr. Thomas Chakiath, the Bishop Emeritus of Ernakulam- Angamaly Arch-diocese. The Solemn Eucharistic celebration was held in the Seminary Chapel presided over by His Excellency, concelebrated by the Provincial Rev. Dr. Joby Kavungal RCJ, Vicar Provincial Fr. Varghese Panickassery RCJ and Superior of the Center of Studies Fr. Shibu Kavungal RCJ. In the homily the Bishop underlined the need of more and more youth to come forward and to follow the Lord in the Religious priestly life. He also mentioned about the challenges going to be faced by these young brothers in the journey to perfection through Religious Priestly life. He exhorted everyone who participated in this solemn celebration to pray for these brothers who have courageously decided to be bearers of Gospel through the Rogationist way of life. The Order of Acolyte was conferred to Bros. Albin Elamthuruthiyil, Bro. Lijo Arackalan, Bro. Jain Kuzhippillinirappel, Bro. Jomon Matheckal, Bro. Jomon Thaikkoottathil, Bro. Pradosh Plakudiyil and Bro. Steny Kundaparambath during the said celebration. The Eucharistic celebration was followed by the solemn dinner where in the Priests and religious from the Provincial Community, the community of the Rogationist Academy and the Rogationist Spirituality Center Aimury shared the table.
