The 75th birthday of our Pioneer Missionary Fr Vito Lipari was solemnly celebrated in STQP. Fr Vito celebrated the thanksgiving Holy Eucharist in the morning at Rogate Ashram and in the evening the celebration began at 6.45 at Rogate Ashram in the presence of our dignitaries, His Excellency Thomas Chakiath, Fr Shajan Pazhayil, Fr Thomas Vithayathil, Fr Antony Narikulam, Mr Antony Thomas, Mr Mathai Lalichan, Mr Biju CP, Mr Jose, Mr MR Varghese and Rev Fathers and brothers from various communities. Fr Shajan Pazhayil greeted him with a bouquet while Bishop Thomas adorned him with Ponnada and Mr Jose, former driver of the STQP handed over the Memento. Then Fr Vito cut the cake and shared the joy of celebration. All the dignitaries remembered the zealous life of Fr Vito, who being a foreigner unknown to the culture and situation of a new place but confronted the situations with enthusiasm and caliber to sow the seeds of rogate, overcame the difficulties of the scenario and paved the way for the journey of Rogate in India with all its nuances of prayer and charity. The brothers of Rogate Ashram made the event colorful with decorations, greeting songs and dances. After the programmes all enjoyed the delicious food prepared. At the end, with the words of gratitude by Fr Vito and with the blessing of Bishop Thomas all departed with joy and happiness.
