61st World Day of Prayer for Vocations Commemorated at Rogate Ashram

Angamaly, 21.04.2024: On April 20th, the Rogate Ashram hosted a solemn observance of the World Day of Prayer for Vocations. Organized by the Saint Thomas Quasi Province and the Daughters of Divine Zeal Sisters, the event commenced promptly at 3 o’clock in the afternoon.

Father Aneesh Kannampuzha, the councilor of Rogate of STQP, extended a warm welcome to all attendees, marking the beginning of the program. Subsequently, Father Shajan inaugurated the proceedings of the WDPV, emphasizing the significance of the occasion through a concise message.

The event saw active participation from various congregations, laypeople, and members of the prayer alliance. Fr Varkey Mulackal MCBS delivered an insightful discourse on the importance of vocation prayers, enriching the gathering with his wisdom.

Following the talk, a brief discussion ensued, centering around Pope Francis’s message on the World Day of Prayer for Vocations. Facilitated by Father Varghese Panickassery, this discussion provided attendees with an opportunity for reflection and engagement.

The highlight of the evening was an adoration to the blessed sacrament, offered fervently for the proliferation of good vocations within the Church. Concluding the spiritual proceedings, Sister Leena FDZ expressed heartfelt gratitude to the entire community for their enthusiastic participation, acknowledging the success of the programs.

After a solemn coffee reception, attendees bid farewell and departed to their respective homes, carrying with them the spirit of prayer and devotion fostered during the event.
