Rogationist St Thomas Quasi Province in collaboration with the sector of Charity and Mission and Rogate Empowerment Centre organized today an anticipated Mission Sunday program via online and offline modes. The Fathers and brothers who are nearby the Aluva campus joined the offline platform at Fr Luigi Memorial Hall while fathers from around the globe and different parts of the country joined the session through the google meet platform.
The program started with the official welcome of Fr Prabin rcj, the Director of Rogate Empowerment Centre and Major Superior Fr Shajan rcj, who delivered his inaugural address. Fr Eugene Ntawigenera rcj, the General Councilor on the sector of Charity and Mission gave his message for this occasion and fathers from different mission areas across the world mainly Sri Lanka, Germany, USA, Italy, Australia and mission communities of Nalgonda, India shared their mission experience and enriched the session.
Fr Devassy Painadath, QP Councilor in charge of Parish, Youth and Laity addressed the assembly with his words of appreciation and recognition of the missionaries and their works. Fr Varghese Panickassery, QP Councilor for the sector of Charity and Mission thanked everyone for their kind participation and sharing. He also introduced a Corpus Fund for Charity program (CFC/STQP) intended to solicit funds for some specific missions and charitable works of QP. The program ended with the Eucharistic Adoration for the mission and missionaries conducted at Rogate Ashram Chapel led by Fr Cineesh Palathinkal rcj, Superior of the community.
